A Change in Pace

Hey guys, this week has been crazy.

Basically, I don’t have a Friday Findings post for you.

So, will you tell me what cool and exciting things are happening with you?  Found any interesting writing advice or contests this week?

And while we’re at it . . . please go and read my Campaign Challenge entry and “like” it if you, well, like it.  I’d greatly appreciate it!

See you tomorrow, everyone!

  1. Hoping in the midst of the craziness there’s been some fun as well :-)

Nothing “happening” on my end. It’s a revision world for me.

I did enjoy Nathan Bransford’s blog post describing writers as magicians – http://blog.nathanbransford.com/2012/02/writers-arent-painters-theyre-magicians.html

And Elana Johnson, YA author of Possession, posted some great marketing tips at her blog – http://elanajohnson.blogspot.com/2012/02/basicplus-marketing-plan-for-those-who.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+MindlessMusings+%28Elana+Johnson%2C+Author%29

  2. Happy Friday Rebekah! I hope next week is less crazy (hahaha, I know, you’re totally laughing with me on that one.)

I went to a conference last weekend and am sorting through all the great advice I got, so right now I’m overwhelmed with it all, but I’ll be sharing it with you pretty soon.

Until then, all I’ve got is a wish for a fun, relaxing weekend for all of us.

  3. No contests or writing done this week for me, but I did finish a new piece of digital art. It took the better part of two weeks to accomplish. :D It has been the one thing to keep me calm and collected while things ahve been crazy at work.

I hope you’re not quite as busy next week. I hope the same for everyone, really.

    • I am not artistic in that sense at all! I can draw clothes, but that’s only because I’ve sewn them for so long that I know how they ‘work’. I know what shapes make what forms, and how it moves . . . my husband actually told me the other day that a lot of artists don’t understand clothing, so I’m the flip side of it, I guess.

      • I have a difficult time trying to make clothes look right on what ever forms I draw, but I do understand how shadows are supposed to look and work, so they don’t look too bad. If I need to make it look really good, I search everywhere for a good reference.
