NaNoWriMo Day 14

What happened today:

Another write-in day!  I love write-ins . . .

The ‘nanoism’ of the day (a word that comes about from your frantic typing) is ‘quidly’ instead of ‘quickly’.  I was channeling Lissa, evidently . . .

And fyi, what happens when 6 writers attempt to input their previous NaNo’s at I Write Like at the same time?  We crash the server . . . or at least, we’re terribly worried that we were the cause of the server crash.  Oops.

100 (and two) Word Excerpt:

He had watched the celebrations silently, looking for Ehi.  He had caught a glimpse of her during the first night of celebration, dancing alone by the fire, but when he tried to get close to her the crowd would thicken.  It was as if everything was conspiring against him, trying to keep him away from her.

He watched for her everyday.  He would catch a glimpse of a purple skirt flash through occasionally, or a swath of brown hair, but every time he followed it, it was never her.  He didn’t discount the fact that she could have very well changed costumes.
