NaNoWriMo Day 29

Word Goal: 48,333/50,000

Actual word count: 50,006

What happened today:

This year, NaNo was hard, especially with all the family issues that kept coming up over and over again.

But if I could win even with that going on, I really have no excuse for not writing as much during the rest of the year *sigh* . . .

100 (or rather, 93) Word Excerpt:

Her legs trembled, and the air was starting to cool on her skin when they finally stopped walking.  The first sunset had passed, she was certain.  The air would not be cooling if it had not.  Her legs shook with exhaustion, and she was instructed to wait until after the second sunset to remove her blindfold.  Her legs collapsed beneath her, and she had sat in a trembling heap while the air grew cooler around her.  It was not too cold, but it felt cold compared to the heat she had been in.
