March #WriteMotivation Wrap-up, April Goals, and the A-Z Challenge!
First off, a final look at #WriteMotivation for this month:
March 2012 Goals:
1. Catch up on ALL critiques for others.
Only partially complete. I finished critiquing two stories from my All Hallows Eve contest back in *cough* October. Two more to go . . . and then a novel to start critiquing for one my NaNo peeps.
2. Have at least 20 of the A-Z Blog Challenge posts written by the end of March, and ALL April Devotionals.
I PWNED this one! 24/26 complete, and all April devotionals written! Now to finish the last two posts, and get everything scheduled!
3. Finish read-through of Weeping Willow.
FAIL.
4. Complete character charts for “Undoing” and have polished outline prepared.
Outline in progress, it is NOT going to be complete by the end of today. I’m hoping to have it finished by Tuesday.
5. Keep up with blogs I’m following.
Partial. I fell majorly behind this week, but I’m going to go ahead and mark it off, because I want to. I stayed caught up for all but this week. Considering I have about 150 new blog posts a day to sort through in Google Reader, I think I did excellent.
Since I’m participating in the A-Z Challenge in April, this will be the only post until about my goals for the month until May when I wrap them up.
April 2012 Goals:
1. Complete first draft of Undoing.
I’m being ambitious this month, but I really feel good about this story right now. I can’t wait! I’m basically doing NaNo in April, lol.
2. Finish All Hallows Eve contest critiques and get them emailed to everyone.
Yeah . . . these are more than six months overdue >_<
3. Finish short story for entry in the Ozark Creative Writers contest and the Nimrod Literary Awards.
This story is already in progress, just needs to be completed and edited.
4. Finish read-through of Weeping Willow.
*crosses fingers*
5. Get a significant amount of May’s blog posts pre-written & start planning some for June.
Just trying to stay ahead, because life is about to get crazy – good crazy, but crazy nonetheless.
I’m going to get a widget up in the sidebar this month to list my goals to keep ya’ll updated regularly :D.
Last, but most definitely not least . . .
I am participating, for the first time, in the Blogging from A to Z Challenge. The banner above is a clickable link, so please go there to learn more about the rules, logistics, etc.
Sign-ups for the A to Z Challenge will be open until April 2nd, so if this is the first you’re hearing about it, you still have time to participate!
For the month of April, I will actually be posting every single day. The challenge starts tomorrow, April 1st, and the theme I am doing for the month is fantasy writing. If you’re a regular follower of mine, you really shouldn’t be surprised :P.
The only exception to the theme will be tomorrow’s post, because it will be tying in with my regular Sunday Devotional posts.
Thanks for the mention. A to Z has now passed the 1500 mark for participating blogs signed onto the list.

That’s awesome, Lee!
You are way too amazing. Your goals make me feel like slackersauce. I should write out some goals and then actually try to attain them. You’ve motivated me!
Congrats on getting so many done. All of April (well, most)?? Dang. You. Are. Awesome!
You should hop on for the next #WriteMotivation goal check month in May, it’s an awesome group! 😀
Looking forward to your A to Z posts!
You set yourself really crazy monthly goals =)
Thanks, Anna, I hope you enjoy the A-Z!
And yes, I might just be trying to kill myself in April >_<
You did a great job with your goals in March! I think we’ve both learned that we like to give ourselves way more to do than we can possibly keep up with. Best of luck in April! I think my biggest April goal is staying on top of and trying to get ahead on blogging. Something I need to do! =)
Okay, I so spaced on listing goals for #writemotivation this month (in the midst of the A to Z). Do we list goals the first Sunday each month? I hope you are having a great and goal-kicking April!
I just usually post my goals on the 1st of each month (or somewhere around that time). April isn’t an official #writemotivation month, so you can really post goals whenever you want :).
