I’ve seen mixed reviews. I still want to read it though! Thanks for sharing! I love getting recommendations!
I could see how it would get mixed reviews – it was a good book, but not necessarily phenomenal, but the struggles, etc, really read more “adult” to me than YA. I think, if the hype had started up at the time this book was published, it probably would have been a better NA than YA.
i loved loved loved divergent and read through insurgent just as quickly. Tris is an excellent character and this is one of my favorite dystopian series.
I haven’t had a chance to read Insurgent yet, but looking forward to it!
I’ve heard a lot of great things regarding this series. I hope to get this read soon as it’s a dystopian and I LOVE dystopian stories 🙂
I love a good dystopian, as well :D.
Oo, I’m gonna have to check this one out!
You’re going to enjoy it so much!
Great review! Loved Divergent but didn’t like the second book that much 😦 Happy reading! xx
Aw, that’s too bad. When I get to read Insurgent, I’ll review it as well.
I’ve seen the cover for this floating around the internet and my local library but your review is the first in-depth piece on it that I’ve come across. Thank you! Divergent is going on my must-read YA list. Have you read either The Selection or The Elite by Kiera Cass? You might enjoy those if you like The Bachelor/Bachelorette.
I have not read either one of those, though the titles sound really familiar (I probably came across The Selection in the past year or two when I did the Debut Author Challenge). I’m kind of “meh” about the Bachelor/Bachelorette – I love the idea of it, but can’t stand the idiot women (and men) that end up on there. I have very low tolerance for immature drama, lol.
