Busy, busy! And your strawberry patch is gorgeous now!
I think I lost the battle with the weeds and grasshoppers. It’s the worst season of grasshoppers I’ve ever seen.
You did a great job on the strawberry patch, and those peas made me drool. 🙂
I… have been blessed, I guess? I haven’t seen a single grasshopper this year, despite the people whining in my local urban farming group on facebook. I do see a TON of garden spiders out in my garden, though, and we also have a lot of starlings that like my front yard, and then of course the chickens in the back. So I think all my grasshoppers are being eaten before they can get anywhere near my garden, lol.
Good for you! W’ere embracing weeds as part of God’s creation. (IE: Too busy to actually take care of them!)
It was hard work! What as sad was half of what I was pulling up in the strawberry bed was edible wild plants, but it was hogging resources/water for the strawberries, so oh well…
Most “weeds”, though, I thoroughly enjoy as part of God’s creation, too. With the exception of crabgrass and ragweed.
Those can just die.
And if I was a potato, I’d live in the compost pile, too. Smart potato, that.
